Lightning Facts

Each year lightning strikes cause more property damage and injuries than tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes. A lightning strike may initiate complete loss to a structure, damage electrical components, cause personal injury, or start serious fires.

At any given moment, there are 1,800 thunderstorms in progress on the earth. Thunderstorms generate 25 million lightning strikes a year. The most dangerous strike is from cloud to ground. Each spark of lightning may reach 5 miles long carrying 100 million electrical volts.
Quality Assurance

Lightning Systems, Inc. uses only UL Listed lightning protection components from East Coast Lightning Equipment (ECLE). All products meet or exceed the requirements for lightning protection established by the National Fire Protection Association

Lightning protection is a specialty field, this is not a “Do It Yourself” project. Only certified installers from the Lightning Protection Institute should Design, Install, and Service your Lightning protection or surge protection application.
